Dr. Antonia Parvanova is a recognized health care expert and researcher in Bulgaria and in the European Union. In addition to her vocation as a doctor, she is also known for her active position and contribution on a number of socially significant topics. Her path starts from her native town Dobrich, passes through the Medical University in Varna, through a number of specializations in Bulgaria and abroad, leads her to politics and to the European Parliament, where she created the first European legislation to protect patients’ rights and the first legislation for protection of women and children from violence. We also owe Dr. Parvanova the European policy for supporting women's entrepreneurship. Thanks to her initiative and broad political and professional horizon, the Faculty of Public Health and Health Management at the Medical University of Sofia was established. At her suggestion, the Center for Assisted Reproduction - the "In Vitro" Fund was created, which is now 15 years old and thanks to it, more than 17,000 Bulgarian children have been born.
Due to her significant contribution to European politics, Dr. Antonia Parvanova was named "Member of the European Parliament (MEP) of the Year" in "Healthcare" category and "MEP of the Term" in "Human Rights" category. The European Organisation for Rare Diseases honored her with a prize “European politician with the most significant contribution in the field of Health Care”.
Two years ago, Dr. Antonia Parvanova's last project was launched - Oxylife Medical Center for Regenerative Medicine and Longevity. She introduced to Bulgaria therapeutic methods applied by the most innovative clinics in Europe and the USA. Today, every patient of the Medical Center knows that it offers "Medicine of the Future", which is also the slogan of Oxylife.
